CAMP ONDAWA
Home Page
For 86 years Camp Ondawa has
provided a fun and exciting outdoor
living experience for boys and girls. It is
located in Sunderland, Vermont on 17
acres of wooded and open land. We
can accommodate 64 campers per
session. Campers sleep in fully
screened cabins. Bathrooms have flush
toilets and hot showers. Campers and
staff eat hot home-cooked meals
together in a large fire placed dining
hall. Our facilities also include several
other pavilions/buildings, two large
game fields and a basketball court.
The traditional camp program is for girls
and boys entering grades 3 to 8 and
includes daily flag raising/lowering
ceremonies, morning workshops, daily
chores and afternoon swim time.
Additional programs feature popular
camp songs, skits, movie nights, and
story telling. Campers also take part in
large camp wide field games.
Camp activities are fully supervised with
a staff/camper ratio of 1:7. The staff
includes a director, assistant director,
health care professional, cook,
counselors, and counselors-in-training.
Camp Ondawa is operated by a Board
of Trustees. We are a nonprofit
organization.
